I am excited to announce that Health Wise Home will be hosting a “6 Weeks to a Healthier You” challenge starting tomorrow, January 5, 2015). Last January was the first time that Health Wise Home hosted this challenge, and it received such a positive response, so I am thrilled to be able to offer it to all of you again!
The Health Wise Home “6 Weeks to a Healthier You” challenge is FREE and anyone that follows this blog or the Health Wise Home Facebook page is invited to participate.
How many of you are already struggling with your “get healthy” New Year’s resolutions? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. The problem often isn’t YOU as much as it is the resolution. If you set unrealistic goals or expectations for yourself you are eventually going to fail. You cannot expect to make drastic, overnight changes to your current lifestyle and be able to maintain them over time. It just doesn’t work.
Instead, to really embrace a health wise lifestyle and make positive, lasting changes in your (and your family’s) life, you have to take small steps. Small, gradual changes lead to greater overall success!
The Health Wise Home “6 Weeks to a Healthier You” challenge would be a great way to help you get 2015 started off down a healthy path. This IS NOT a weight-loss, detox, or diet plan. The Health Wise Home “6 Weeks to a Healthier You” Challenge is a LIFESTYLE challenge; an opportunity to start making small, positive changes in your daily life that can lead to SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS in your overall health when consistently followed over time. We will focus on one lifestyle challenge each week and I will share tips, advice, and other helpful pieces of information throughout that week (on the Health Wise Home Facebook page) to encourage and motivate you to meet your weekly challenge on a daily basis. I will also do a Facebook “check-in” each day to allow you to share any successes, struggles, questions, or advice with our Health Wise community. You DO NOT have to actively comment if you do not wish to. And for those of you that are already incorporating these lifestyle practices into your daily life, this can still be a great opportunity to “clean up” and focus on making 2015 another healthy year.
I know that many of you are planners and would like to be able to prepare yourself each week for the upcoming challenge, so I will post a Facebook WEEKLY CHALLENGE “HEADS-UP “ on every Saturday, prior to the new weekly challenge. This will allow you to mentally prepare yourself for the coming week as well as plan for any items that you may need (from the grocery store) to successfully meet your challenge.
Here is the first WEEKLY CHALLENGE “HEADS-UP”: The first challenge, which begins this coming Monday, will be to FOCUS ON DRINKING MORE WATER THROUGHOUT YOUR DAY AND TO ONLY CONSUME “REAL” BEVERAGES. I will share more specific information, tips, and advice on Monday. Until then, please stop by the Health Wise Home Facebook page and “like” it so you can follow along. And don’t forget to share the challenge with your family and friends so that they can follow along, too, and work towards becoming healthier in 2015!
